West Ham United are reportedly targeting a move for Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski according to Tutto Bologna Web.

The shot-stopper has made 17 appearances for the Serie A side in all competitions this season, and it appears as though his strong performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

Skorupski has been with the club since 2018, and has kept four clean sheets this season, with Bologna currently sat 11th in the Serie A table after 24 matches this term.

He has also been capped at senior level for the Polish national team on four occasions, alongside West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

It remains to be seen as to whether Fabianski has a long-term future at the London Stadium though, with the 35-year-old’s contract being set to expire at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The former Swansea City goalkeeper has been with the club since 2018, and has been a regular in David Moyes’ starting XI since completing a move to the London-based side.

But it seems as though the Hammers are looking at planning for his replacement, with the club taking a keen interest in signing Skorupski ahead of next season.

West Ham are currently sat fourth in the Premier League after a hugely impressive run of form in the top-flight since the turn of the New Year.

The club’s supporters have every reason to be excited at the potential of their team playing European football next season, although you can almost guarantee that Moyes won’t be allowing his players to get ahead of themselves.

It could be an interesting summer transfer window ahead in the club’s pursuit of Skorupski though, with Tutto Bologna Web claiming that a number of other Premier League teams are interested in a deal to sign the goalkeeper.

Fabianski and his West Ham team-mates are set to return to action on Monday 8th March, when they take on Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United, in what is likely to be a tricky test for the Hammers.
