John Ruddy is expected to leave Wolves at the end of the 2020/21 season according to a recent report from Football Insider.

Ruddy has been with the club since 2017, and has gone on to make 64 appearances for Wolves, after being released by Norwich City.

The 34-year-old played a starring role for Wolves in their promotion-winning season in 2018, as they won the Championship title under the management of Nuno Espírito Santo.

The shot-stopper has found regular game time hard to come by since returning to the Premier League, with the shot-stopper often being behind Rui Patricio in the pecking order in the Wolves team.

Football Insider claim that Ruddy is keen to find a new club in the summer, in the hope of finding regular game time elsewhere.

He’s out-of-contract at the end of this year’s campaign, and will be free to speak to other clubs heading into the summer, as he looks to resolve his long-term future.

Wolves are currently sat 12th in the Premier League table, and will be looking to get back to winning ways in the top-flight, after their goalless draw with Aston Villa meant that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are now without a win in their last three matches in all competitions.

Wolves are set to return to action on Monday evening, when they take on a Liverpool side, that have struggled for a positive run of results in the Premier League this term.

The Reds are currently sat eighth in the top-flight standings, and were beaten by relegation-threatened Fulham in their most recent match, which means they’re now 22 points adrift of league-leaders Manchester City heading into their final 10 matches of this year’s campaign.
