Leeds United have decided against pursuing a move for Wolves winger Adam Traore according to a recent report from Football Insider.

Traore had caught the attention of Marcelo Bielsa’s side during the January transfer window, after it was claimed that talks over a new deal with Wolves had stalled for one reason or another.

But it is now reported by Football Insider that Leeds were not looking at a deal to sign the 25-year-old during the New Year, and won’t be looking at signing Traore in the summer transfer window.

The former Middlesbrough winger has been with Wolves since 2018, and has gone on to make 120 appearances in total for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side in all competitions.

But Traore has struggled for confidence in front of goal in this year’s campaign, with the winger only having one goal to his name from his 30 appearances this term.

A move to Elland Road could have been tempting for the forward as well, with the Yorkshire-based side catching the eye with their high-intensity style of play.

Leeds are currently sat 11th in the Premier League table after 26 matches in this year’s campaign, and will be looking to get back to winning ways in the top-flight, after a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Elland Road in their most recent match.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are set to return to action on Monday, when they take on in-form West Ham United, in what is likely to be a tricky test up against the Hammers, who are sat 12th in the table.

Whilst Traore and his Wolves team-mates take on Aston Villa at Molineux on Saturday evening, as they look to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat to runaway league-leaders Manchester City.

It could be an interesting summer transfer window ahead for the Whites, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2021/22 season, where they’ll fancy their chances of building on some strong performances in this year’s campaign.
